The New Delhi Bar Association (NDBA) has urged lawyers not to succumb to panic following a bomb hoax targeting city courts and two schools. The threat, which unsettled Patiala House, Saket, and Dwarka courts, prompted robust security measures.
NDBA Secretary Advocate Tarun Rana assured that security had been tightened with the cooperation of judicial officers, staff, and litigants. He requested members to allow the security staff to frisk bags and belongings if necessary, and to report any suspicious objects. The call for calm came after a bomb threat was received via email, causing temporary disruption in court proceedings.
This incident follows the deadly Red Fort blast on November 10. In response, heightened security measures have been implemented as authorities investigate, including the arrest of Jasir Bilal Wani as part of the bomb blast probe.
