The Delhi High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that sought compensation for passengers affected by IndiGo airline's flight cancellations in November and December. The PIL demanded compensation of four times the ticket price due to disruptions from new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules.

A bench, comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, noted that the issues were already being addressed in another ongoing PIL. The court suggested the petitioner seek intervention in that existing case rather than initiating a new plea.

The case, filed by the Centre for Accountability and Systemic Change through its president, Prof. Vikram Singh, and represented by Advocate Virag Gupta, highlighted severe passenger inconvenience due to the airline's crisis. The plea also demanded an inquiry into the Directorate of Civil Aviation's role in the situation.
