A special CBI court has cleared a Haryana judicial officer and his parents of involvement in a dowry-death case dating back 12 years. This significant legal development centers around the 2013 death of the officer's wife in Gurugram.
Ravneet Garg, the chief judicial magistrate of Gurugram at the time, and his parents were acquitted in the contentious case related to Geetanjali's death. She was discovered with bullet injuries in July 2013, sparking serious allegations.
Though the case initially involved charges of dowry death and cruelty, the court found these unsubstantiated. The defense successfully argued a lack of evidence of discord or cruelty, ultimately leading to the acquittal of all three accused parties.
