Maharashtra's official scrutiny of the controversial Mundhwa land deal is imminent, as Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule revealed on Wednesday.
Despite media assertions clearing Parth Pawar, son of late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, of any wrongdoing, Bawankule urged caution, emphasizing that decisions will hinge on the findings of the sealed report. The Minister vowed strict action against any disciplinary breaches. The report had reached Bawankule on Tuesday, and he aims to consult with the Chief Minister promptly.
Reports allege mismanagement of 40 acres of 'Mahar Watan' land. Notably, while accusations involve Parth Pawar, his signature absence on the sale deed has shielded him from legal action, thus far. Additionally, the Minister addressed the Muslim community's reservation concerns, reiterating adherence to court rulings, and expressed optimism concerning a farm loan waiver appearing likely soon.
