The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police took decisive action on Wednesday by attaching the Kupwara district property of a notorious Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative involved in a significant narco-terror case. The seizure highlights ongoing efforts to curb terror financing linked to cross-border activities.
SIA officials revealed that the property, belonging to a Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir-based operative, Zameer Ahmad Lone, was targeted due to his active involvement in narco-terror activities aimed at unsettling the region's stability. Lone, currently a proclaimed offender, continues anti-national activities from across the border.
A court approved the property attachment following a SIA Kashmir application, marking a significant step in dismantling the narco-terrorist networks. This comes after SIA Kashmir moved a comprehensive charge sheet highlighting the extensive terror financing links uncovered during the investigation.
