Nearly a year after Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa's tragic death in Rajouri due to Pakistan shelling, his family still grapples with the loss. His widow, Dr. Meenakshi Kundan Thapa, speaks of her husband's unwavering duty and the profound personal impact of his passing.

Dr. Thapa, a 2001-batch JKAS officer serving as the additional district development commissioner, was killed on May 10. Despite the danger, he remained at his post to manage evacuations and ensure public safety, embodying the spirit of a 'soldier without uniform'.

His death has left an irreplaceable void in his family's life, but his sacrifice is remembered with pride, honoring his legacy of service. A memorial museum and library were recently inaugurated to commemorate his dedication and contribution.
