In a cabinet meeting on Monday, Yadav urged ministers to cut down on petrol and diesel usage and championed the use of public transportation. The Chief Minister's cavalcade will now comprise only eight vehicles, decreased from the previous 13, and no vehicle rallies will be held during his visits.

Instructions for simplicity extend to newly-appointed officials; they are encouraged to adopt minimalism as they assume office, avoiding extravagant vehicle displays. The initiative pushes for austerity in government operations across the BJP-governed state, encouraging citizens to follow suit.
