In a significant diplomatic engagement, India’s External Affairs Minister Jaishankar and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha convened to discuss the escalations in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Their dialogue focused on battlefield developments and the pursuit of a lasting peace, reflecting Ukraine’s resilient response to ongoing tensions.
This interaction took place on the sidelines of the Gymnich Forum in Cyprus, amid a gathering of EU foreign ministers. Sybiha emphasized Ukraine’s determination in facing Russian military challenges, including recent strikes on Kyiv. Both ministers highlighted the importance of global involvement in peace efforts and considered stronger India-Ukraine ties.
