BJP govt in Rajasthan 'anti-people': Pilot

Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot on Tuesday said BJP president Amit Shah was holding meetings with his party workers after sensing that the working style of the BJP government in the state was "anti-people".

"People from all sections of the society are disappointed with the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government. Block development officers, gram sevaks, roadways, and electricity department employees were holding a protest against the government," Pilot said in a statement.

He added that the saffron party's chief himself is holding meetings with the party workers in Rajasthan as the leadership was aware of "anti-people" working pattern of the government.

The former Union minister said Shah and Raje should ensure the government's accountability instead of blaming the Congress "through their objectionable statements" during public meetings.

The pilot said the Congress has asked 27 questions till date on the "failure of the government on various fronts", but the chief minister, he claimed, did not answer a single question.

"The government has failed in ensuring its accountability by not answering questions raised by the Congress on public-centric issues," Pilot said.

He said the people of the state have "lost faith" in the BJP government.

The pilot said BJP's debacle was imminent from Rajasthan and exuded confidence that the Congress would be voted to power in the state, where polls are due later this year.
