China's Xi sends condolences to Biden over Kissinger's death

China's President Xi Jinping has sent a message of condolence to U.S. President Joe Biden over the passing of veteran U.S. diplomat Henry Kissinger, the Chinese foreign ministry said on Thursday.

Kissinger was a "dear old friend" of the Chinese people, and will be dearly remembered for his sincere devotion to Sino-U.S. relations, ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a press briefing.
