Modi's Swift Start: First File as PM in Third Term Benefits Farmers

Narendra Modi, starting his third term as Prime Minister, signed his first file authorizing the release of the 17th installment of 'PM Kisan Nidhi' funds amounting to nearly Rs 20,000 crore, benefiting around 9.3 crore farmers. Modi reaffirms commitment to farmers' welfare and agriculture sector growth.

Narendra Modi, embarking on his third term as Prime Minister, made an impactful start by signing his first file on Monday. This crucial document authorizes the release of the 17th installment of the 'PM Kisan Nidhi' funds, amounting to approximately Rs 20,000 crore, directly benefiting around 9.3 crore farmers across the country.

Following the signing, Modi emphasized, “Ours is a government fully committed to 'kisan kalyan' (farmers' welfare). It is, therefore, fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to it. We want to keep working even more for farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come.''

This move showcases the government's unwavering dedication to the welfare of farmers, coming right after the ruling National Democratic Alliance's electoral victory, despite facing challenges in rural areas. Modi's third term commenced on Sunday, and he leads a 72-member Union Council of Ministers.
