During the question hour, BJP MLA Sitasharan Sharma criticized Gandhi for his statements about Hindus in his maiden speech as Leader of Opposition, demanding an apology.

Sharma's comments triggered a verbal clash between BJP and Opposition MLAs, prompting Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar to call for order and subsequently adjourn the house for 15 minutes amid escalating slogan-shouting.

Gandhi, in his speech, accused the ruling BJP of promoting 'violence and hate' under the guise of Hinduism, which led to fierce objections from BJP members and a rebuttal from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Gandhi clarified that his comments were directed at the BJP, the RSS, and Modi, not the entire Hindu community.
