Kapil Sibal Criticizes BJP's Anti-Diversity Stance at Memorial Lecture

Sibal elaborated on the evolution of India's identity, noting that the nation's diversity is rooted in centuries of historical processes. He underscored that understanding India's history—from the Gupta period to British colonization—is critical to appreciating its multifaceted identity.

Highlighting the ongoing political conflict, Sibal warned that any attempt to suppress diversity is misguided, stressing that the country's true strength lies in its constitutional embrace of this diversity. He pointed out that the Constitution itself reflects centuries of historical development and cross-cultural assimilation.
