BJP national president JP Nadda on the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas stated that the soldiers of the country are not alone, reaffirming that 140 crore Indians stand with them.

Speaking at the 'Mashal Rally' organized by the BJP Yuva Morcha at Central Park in Connaught Place, Nadda highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India's defense preparedness has significantly improved.

Nadda noted that Kargil Vijay Diwas marks the silver jubilee of the Indian Army's victory against Pakistani infiltrators. He said it is an occasion to honor the brave soldiers who fought under harsh geographical conditions. Nadda also mentioned that Modi, who was then the party's general secretary, visited Kargil to boost the morale of the soldiers.

He emphasized that the 'Vijay Jyoti' of the 'Mashal Rally' will burn for 24 hours in memory of the martyrs, showing solidarity with the soldiers. Nadda criticized the previous Congress-led UPA government for depleting the fleets of fighter planes and helicopters and for the shortage of bullet-proof jackets. Under Modi's leadership, India now produces and exports bullet-proof jackets and manufactures its own fighter planes and helicopters.

BJP Yuva Morcha president Tejasvi Surya, also speaking at the rally, condemned the Congress for allegedly politicizing the Army and weakening the country's defenses.
