Trump's Legal Battles Ease as Campaign Enters Critical Phase
Former President Donald Trump's campaign financial strain may be alleviating as legal expenses decline. The Save America PAC, closely aligned with Trump, paid below USD 1 million for his legal bills in June for the first time in two years. This reduction follows the conclusion of several legal battles.
Former President Donald Trump's campaign financial strain may be easing as legal expenses dip. A report reveals that the Save America political action committee paid USD 827,000 in June for Trump's legal bills, marking the first time in two years that monthly expenses have fallen below USD 1 million.
Historically, the Trump-aligned PAC has spent nearly USD 4 million per month on legal costs since July 2022, largely defending Trump in criminal and civil cases. However, a recent conviction in a hush-money case and ongoing legal battles appear to be reaching resolutions, freeing up funds for the campaign.
The reduced legal expenditures come as President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris, who has since garnered significant donations. The decline in Trump's legal expenses allows more campaign funds to be allocated to critical campaign activities.
