Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Saturday urged party workers and the public to resist what he described as the 'dictatorship' prevailing in the country. His call to action came a day after his release from jail in the Delhi excise policy case.

In a direct attack on the BJP, Sisodia claimed that the party uses its power to harass citizens and incarcerate opposition leaders. Addressing AAP workers at the party headquarters, he asserted that the Constitution remains more powerful than any political entity. He expressed his pain over seeing businessmen jailed for not donating money to the BJP, rather than his own legal battles.

The Supreme Court granted him bail, acknowledging that his prolonged 17-month incarceration without trial violated his right to speedy justice. Speaking about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, also jailed in the same case, Sisodia praised him as a symbol of honesty and suggested that opposition unity could secure Kejriwal's swift release.

Sisodia further targeted the BJP over the treatment of wrestler Vinesh Phogat, alluding to her protest against BJP leaders and her recent disqualification from the Paris Olympics.
