Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grave concern over the plight of minority Hindus in Bangladesh. In a fierce attack on the opposition INDIA bloc, Adityanath accused them of remaining silent to appease their vote bank. "We want to thank PM Modi for revealing these dark chapters of our history and opening the eyes of the people. The horrors of partition are still visible. 1.5 crore Hindus in Bangladesh are screaming to save themselves, but the world is silent. All the secularists in India are silent. In India, they (the opposition) are silent because they are scared that if they raise their voice, their vote bank will be affected," he said.
Adityanath also stated that the opposition is more concerned about their vote bank than showing solidarity for human suffering. He criticized the post-independence policies of Congress, accusing them of promoting a divide-and-rule approach similar to British colonial methods. Adityanath referenced Maharishi Arvind's predictions about Pakistan, emphasizing that Pakistan would either merge with India or vanish from history.
Adityanath further pointed out that the atrocities seen during the partition are now recurring in Bangladesh. He noted, "What happened in 1947 is happening again in Pakistan and Bangladesh, which was known as East Pakistan. At that time, 10 lakh Hindus were killed, and today, arson, vandalization, looting, and atrocities against women continue. When will we learn from the mistakes of history?" In the midst of political unrest in Bangladesh, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigning amid protests, Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus visited the Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka and assured minorities of their safety. "Rights are equal for everyone. We are all one people with equal rights. Do not make distinctions among us. Please assist us with patience and judge our actions later," Yunus stated, as reported by the Daily Star.
