Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed confidence that the Congress Party is capable of clinching victory in the upcoming Haryana assembly elections without forming any alliances. His remarks come amid speculation about a possible tie-up with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), a national ally in the INDIA bloc.
Discussing election strategies, Hooda highlighted that winnability will be the main criterion for ticket distribution within the Congress. He also criticized the Agnipath military recruitment scheme and emphasized the need for a legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops – crucial issues for Haryana voters.
The Congress has pledged several initiatives if it wins, including job creation, improvements in law and order, and increased old-age pensions. Hooda took a swipe at the current BJP-JJP alliance, calling it a 'non-performing government,' and stated that the people are ready for change.
