BJP Launches Ambitious Membership Drive in Odisha

The ruling BJP has set an ambitious target to enroll one crore new members in Odisha, commencing a statewide membership drive from September 1. The initiative was confirmed by the party at a state-level workshop, attended by senior leaders, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Mjahi.
Memberships will be accepted through both offline and online modes, with the campaign focusing on grassroots strengthening. Workshops at district and block levels are scheduled to start from August 22, culminating in booth-level workshops by the end of the month.
The membership drive will aim to include diverse people, such as scheduled castes/tribes, women, youth, students, and the poor. Special efforts will be made to reach new voters and beneficiaries of government schemes. Public engagement will be intensified through activities like small meetings, dramas, and events at malls, markets, and public transportation hubs.
