The BJP has publicly disassociated itself from the controversial remarks made by its MP Kangana Ranaut regarding the farmers' protest. The party emphasized that her comments do not represent its views.
Ranaut had claimed in a video that without strong leadership, the farmers' protest could have escalated into a Bangladesh-like situation, alleging that “bodies were hanging and rapes were taking place.”
The BJP issued a statement clarifying that Ranaut is neither permitted nor authorized to speak on the party's policy issues and has been directed to refrain from making such statements in the future. The party reiterated its commitment to the principles of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas' and social harmony.
