US Vice President Kamala Harris rebuked former President Donald Trump for what she called a political stunt at Arlington National Cemetery. Trump, accompanied by campaign aides, filmed and distributed images at the cemetery despite federal prohibitions against campaign activity there.

Harris, in a social media post, cited reports that Trump's team created a disturbance with cemetery staff and took unauthorised photographs at gravesites, including those of Afghanistan war veterans. She labelled Arlington as a “solemn place” meant to honor American heroes, not for political use.

The incident ties back to Trump and Republicans' criticism over the Afghanistan withdrawal. Harris emphasised her commitment to honoring service members, denying any politicization for personal gains.
