Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged BJP members to broaden the party's base and ensure a substantial presence of women candidates in the Lok Sabha and assemblies by making full use of the upcoming 33 percent reservation quota for women in legislatures.
At the launch of the membership drive, Modi emphasized the significance of this campaign in reinforcing the party's commitment to democratic principles and inclusive growth. BJP president J P Nadda enrolled Modi as the first member, marking the start of this expansive drive.
Modi highlighted the role of young members, tribal communities, and residents of border villages in strengthening the party's grassroots network and driving India's development by 2047. He also underscored the BJP's rise from a two-MP party to a political powerhouse, attributing this to its nation-first ideology and unwavering commitment to people's welfare.
