Omar Abdullah Slams BJP, Pledges to Eradicate Terrorism in Jammu

Omar Abdullah, vice president of the National Conference (NC), accused the BJP of mishandling the situation in Jammu, leading to the revival of terrorism. Promising to eradicate terrorism once the NC-Congress coalition forms the next government, Abdullah criticized the BJP's governance and emphasized the coalition's commitment to providing relief to the region.

Omar Abdullah, vice president of the National Conference (NC), accused the BJP of mishandling the situation in Jammu, alleging it led to the resurgence of terrorism in an otherwise peaceful region. Addressing an election rally in Kishtwar, he pledged to combat terrorism once the NC-Congress coalition forms the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Criticizing the 'double engine' BJP government in the Union Territory, Abdullah contended that it brought nothing but problems, destruction, and disappointment to the people. He claimed that no district in Jammu, which was previously freed from terrorism, has been spared the brunt of renewed militancy over the past five years.

Reacting to Home Minister Amit Shah's statement about the likely return of terrorism under an NC-Congress alliance, Abdullah emphasized the coalition's commitment to making Jammu terrorism-free again. He urged voters to support coalition candidate Puja Thakur, highlighting the NC-Congress's promise to address key issues like unemployment, inflated bills, and lack of basic services.
