National Conference leader Omar Abdullah on Friday challenged Baramulla's Lok Sabha MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid to clarify his stance on supporting the BJP if needed after the Jammu and Kashmir elections.
The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) leader, known as Engineer Rashid, has recently been released on interim bail from Delhi's Tihar Jail to campaign for the upcoming elections.
Abdullah raised questions about Rashid's silence on the matter during a seminar, urging him to categorically deny any future support for the BJP. Abdullah emphasized his party's commitment to addressing key issues in their manifesto, including Article 370 and the Kashmir issue. He criticized the BJP's detrimental impact on the region and other candidates' willingness to align with the BJP. Abdullah called on voters to support the alliance candidates to reject the BJP's influence and rectify past injustices.
