Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday leveled serious allegations against certain Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials, accusing them of extorting large sums of money from people with the help of BJP leaders. He vowed that these illegalities would be exposed once his party comes to power.
In his address to reporters, Raut claimed Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was aware of these activities. He mentioned one Jitu Navlani, allegedly an ED agent, who was supposedly protected by Fadnavis and the BJP.
Raut alleged that the special investigation team set up to probe these activities was dismantled by Fadnavis after he assumed the home minister post. He also pointed to links between BJP and former ED official Rajeshwar Singh and another individual, Romi Bhagat, who is currently jailed. Raut assured that these actions would be scrutinized thoroughly, and those responsible would be held accountable.
