In a charged press conference on Tuesday, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad leveled serious allegations against the Congress party, accusing them of conspiring with divisive elements within the Muslim community. This, he claims, is a desperate move as the party senses electoral defeat in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
Prasad's accusations suggest that Congress and the INDIA bloc are attempting to appease Muslim voters, challenging BJP's stance on religious reservations and raising constitutional questions.
Highlighting a recent commitment by Maharashtra's Congress unit, Prasad questioned the party's promise to grant a 10 percent quota to Muslims in jobs and education, warning it could strip OBCs of rights if implemented.
