In a significant move, Shiv Sena (UBT) announced the expulsion of three key functionaries in Ratnagiri district on Saturday over allegations of engaging in anti-party activities. The expelled members include Rajendra Mahadik, Vilas Chalke, and Rohan Bane, as confirmed by an official party letter.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has intensified his criticism against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. In a recent media interaction, Thackeray accused Shinde of not only orchestrating a split within the Shiv Sena but also of negatively impacting Maharashtra's industrial progress. Thackeray further stated that Shinde's actions have weakened the state's economic strengths, reaffirming his decision to withhold support.
Thackeray has been actively engaging with opposition leaders in bolstering the INDIA Bloc. He recently met with Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party's Arvind Kejriwal, accompanied by Shiv Sena MPs Arvind Sawant and Priyanka Chaturvedi, and AAP MP Sanjay Singh. Thackeray urged for a cohesive strategy among opposition parties to tackle issues affecting electoral integrity, especially following the BJP's sweeping victory in Delhi, which marked a significant shift in the political landscape.
