Political tensions are escalating in Maharashtra as BJP leader Pravin Darekar accuses the opposition of pushing for resignations of NCP ministers for political leverage. The minister in question, Dhananjay Munde, faces scrutiny after his close aide's alleged involvement in a murder case, causing unrest within the party.
Moreover, NCP's Manikrao Kokate, convicted for utilizing forged documents to secure government flats, continues to claim innocence, with intentions to appeal the recent Nashik court ruling sentencing him to two years in prison. Despite these allegations, both ministers assert they are being targeted unjustly.
Darekar maintains that the resignation calls are unfounded unless substantial evidence emerges, putting Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a position of responding based on verifiable proof.
