Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully revealed that discussions held with three ministers were unproductive, extending the duration of the protest. "We demand the minister retract his statement," Jully stated, criticizing the government's approach to running the House.

The protest intensified when Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot made a contentious remark about a women's hostel scheme named after Indira Gandhi, causing multiple adjournments. Despite attempts at negotiation, the Congress MLAs remained firm in their demand for an apology.
