The Chhattisgarh legislative assembly kicks off its budget session on Monday, marked by Governor Ramen Deka's inaugural address. Set to be a comprehensive session, it will span 17 sittings and conclude on March 21.
A significant highlight will be the presentation of the state's budget for the financial year 2025-26 by State Finance Minister OP Chaudhary on March 3. This will be preceded by a debate on the motion of thanks to the governor's address scheduled for February 27 and 28.
In preparation for the session, Speaker Raman Singh announced that a third supplementary budget for 2024-25 would also be tabled. The session is set to entertain 2,367 questions, with 122 notices for call attention motions.
