In a resounding victory, the JMM-led alliance has shown its stronghold over Jharkhand, winning the assembly elections once again and underscoring public trust in its governance. In his address to the assembly during the budget session, Governor Santosh Gangwar emphasized the administration's dedication to transparency and accountability, despite a barrage of protests from the opposition BJP.
The announcement comes as the government rolls out a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening public welfare. Among these are schemes focused on empowering disadvantaged communities, including women, youth, and farmers. Efforts to eradicate corruption have also led to the arrest of 56 public servants, while comprehensive anti-Naxal operations have seen over 248 arrests.
Governor Gangwar assured that the government is committed to maintaining law and order, with significant anti-crime operations resulting in the arrest of hundreds of criminals statewide. The session, which runs until March 27, will see the introduction of the state budget, marking a pivotal moment for the Hemant Soren administration since its election victory in November last year.
