In a significant political development, Dilip Jaiswal, the BJP president in Bihar, announced his resignation from the Nitish Kumar cabinet early Wednesday. The move aligns with the party’s 'one person, one post' policy.
Jaiswal's resignation comes ahead of a planned expansion of the state council of ministers, with new appointees scheduled to take their oaths at 4 pm at the Raj Bhavan. The resignation follows a key meeting chaired by BJP president JP Nadda.
Jaiswal expressed his gratitude to the party's leadership, emphasizing his commitment to strengthen the party's organization. Meanwhile, until a new appointment is made, the Chief Minister will temporarily oversee the Revenue portfolio.
