AAP to Restructure, Launch Ideological Campaign Honoring National Icons

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) plans an organizational overhaul involving major events to honor national heroes and strengthen ideological campaigns. Events will be held for Bhagat Singh's martyrdom and Ambedkar's birth anniversary, extending throughout Delhi, with a focus on countering BJP policies perceived as disrespecting these icons.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced a significant organizational restructuring initiative, aimed at revitalizing its structure and deepening its ideological commitments. To debut this initiative, AAP will host a special event, 'Ek Shaam Shaheedon Ke Naam,' on March 23 at its headquarters to commemorate the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. This gathering marks AAP's first major event post-Delhi elections, with a focus on uniting its Delhi unit's office-bearers and members.

In a similar vein, April 14 will see the commemoration of Babasaheb BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary. Following these central events, the program will expand across all assembly constituencies, distributing Bhagat Singh and Ambedkar’s ideologies more widely. The decision follows a pivotal meeting at AAP's headquarters under Delhi State Convenor, Gopal Rai, attended by key party figures including district presidents and social media unit members.

Gopal Rai emphasized that AAP seeks not just to strengthen its organizational framework but to hasten its ideological campaign. He criticized the BJP-led Delhi government for actions he claims disrespect national icons, such as removing portraits from government offices, and vowed a sustained ideological campaign starting March 23. Rai pledged that AAP will serve as a vocal opposition, countering the perceived ideological crisis precipitated by current BJP policies.
