In a fiery political exchange, Union Minister Giriraj Singh took aim at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday, following Yadav's criticism of a statement made by BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur. Singh accused Yadav of displaying 'arrogance' due to his political legacy as the son of former Bihar Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.
Tejashwi Yadav had previously lambasted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for failing to reprimand a BJP MLA accused of urging Muslims to stay indoors during Holi. Yadav questioned the Chief Minister's silence, accusing him of being in an 'unconscious state' and highlighting his tendency to criticize issues raised by women and minorities while remaining passive in this case.
Yadav further pointed out the influence of the BJP and its affiliate organizations on the Janata Dal (United), asserting that the spirit of inclusivity in Bihar—honoring both Hindu and Muslim values—will be upheld. He reassured that the RJD remains steadfast in promoting Lalu Yadav's ideologies and the principles of the Constitution, resisting any opposing agendas.
