A delegation from the DMK, including MP Kanimozhi and former Union Minister A Raja, met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Delhi to extend an invitation to a meeting in Chennai on March 22, focusing on the delimitation issue. This meeting, convened by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, aims to address concerns regarding the delimitation exercise.
Criticizing the BJP-led government, Reddy accused the Centre of targeting South India through delimitation, which he views as a strategy to counteract the region's political resistance to the saffron party. He asserted that South India contributes significantly to the nation and has consistently rejected BJP's growth in the region.
Reddy plans to host an all-party meeting in Telangana ahead of the Chennai gathering to ensure fair representation and seeks to involve BJP leaders in the state. He emphasized the imperative for Kishan Reddy, a Union Minister and BJP's Telangana president, to voice state interests in the Union Cabinet.
