In a significant move, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, engaged with retired jawans of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to address their grievances on Tuesday.
The meeting, which was held at his parliamentary office, focused on the jawans' concerns regarding perceived discrimination in welfare benefits and the treatment of martyrs' families from different forces.
Gandhi assured the delegation of his commitment to champion their cause, underlining that discrimination in respect and facilities for martyrs is unacceptable, and advocating for equal treatment for all who serve the nation.
