In a striking rebuke to the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the opposition of being responsible for India's ongoing issues regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Modi called on Congress to acknowledge those historical blunders which he claims led to the current situation.

Addressing the Lok Sabha during a debate, Modi emphasized the unwavering global support for India's actions against terrorism, contrasting it with Congress's lack of support for Indian troops. He criticized Congress for its alleged dependence on outside influences and for questioning military operations like Operation Sindoor.

Adding to the critique, Home Minister Amit Shah chided the Congress party for historically failing to reclaim Pakistani territories in Kashmir. He attributed the creation of Pakistan and lingering territorial strife to the party's past errors, notably under Jawaharlal Nehru's leadership.
