BJP is poised to take a leading role in Thane district, according to Ganesh Naik, a senior BJP leader and Maharashtra's forest minister. Naik made these remarks at the BJP state office amidst a political reshuffle as leaders from Shiv Sena and Congress joined the party.
Thane, known as the stronghold of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his Shiv Sena, witnessed this shift as key political figures, including Anil Dhanorkar, brother-in-law of a Congress MP, joined the BJP. Naik expressed confidence that the BJP would not only gain dominance in Thane but also in surrounding areas.
Naik urged the BJP cadre to strive diligently to ensure that the party becomes number one in the region, while emphasizing respect for their allies. He hinted at further expansions, indicating more leaders from other parties may soon join the BJP ranks.
