Strategizing for 2026: BJP and RSS Unite in Bengal

The West Bengal BJP, aiming for the 2026 assembly elections, held extensive coordination meetings with the RSS to strategize their campaign and organizational efforts. Despite the productive discussions, the state committee's formation remains unresolved, revealing the internal challenges within the Bengal BJP.

In preparation for the 2026 assembly elections, the West Bengal BJP has concluded a significant series of coordination meetings alongside the state unit of the RSS. The aim was to develop a comprehensive campaign blueprint and organizational strategy for the region.

The intensive two-day meetings brought together top BJP and RSS leadership, including National Organisational General Secretary B L Santosh, state president Samik Bhattacharya, and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari. Discussions focused on strengthening the BJP's organizational structure, enhancing outreach, and resolving growth bottlenecks noted since the 2021 polls.

However, despite the brainstorming sessions, the finalization of the new state committee remains pending, indicative of ongoing internal factional tensions. The BJP's central leadership urges swift resolution of differences within the state unit to ensure effective preparation for the upcoming elections.
