Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has urged the Indian government to apply pressure on Israel to stop what he termed as the "genocide" in Gaza. Speaking at a protest gathering organized by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Chennai, Stalin criticized the ongoing violence.

Stalin emphasized the need for the BJP-led central government to intervene and align with countries seeking to halt the conflict. He highlighted that the assaults on Gaza have stirred global condemnation and urged for an end to actions that contravene international human rights laws.

The Chief Minister's recent public comments are part of a broader push, including a call from the CPI (M) for the Indian government to reconsider trade agreements with Israel and exclude Israeli firms from defense events like AeroDefCon 2025.
