Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa launched a scathing attack on opposition parties, accusing them of causing damage to the city over the last ten years. In a candid interview with ANI, Sirsa suggested that these parties, witnessing gradual improvements in the capital, are plagued by jealousy. He remarked, "They're obviously resorting to a blame game as they sit in opposition, having wreaked havoc during a decade of power."

Succeeding in articulating efforts of the current administration, Sirsa noted initiatives like the removal of 2.5 million metric tonnes of waste and enforcing pollution control on approximately 6,000 industries. Highlighting strides taken in Rekha Gupta's government over the past seven months, Sirsa explained how several industries in resettlement colonies are now compliant, and projects are underway to prevent sewage from polluting the Yamuna River, including the resetting of malfunctioning STPs.

Despite a 21% rise in construction and an 8% increase in vehicle registrations, pollution levels in Delhi have remained stable, according to Sirsa. Revisiting policies on older vehicle bans and accusing the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government of politically-motivated stubble-burning provocations, Sirsa rallied against linking sacred festivals to political machinations, condemning attacks on Diwali celebrations as divisive and harmful to India's cultural ethos.
