The Jubilee Hills Assembly bypoll, scheduled for November 11, has attracted 211 candidates, highlighting a fierce political contest in the constituency. Official sources confirmed the conclusion of nominations filing, revealing that on the last filing day, 117 candidates submitted their papers.
This bypoll arises due to the passing of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath. Among the candidates are V Naveen Yadav from Congress, Maganti Sunitha from BRS, and Lankala Deepak Reddy from the BJP. AIMIM has extended support to the Congress candidate.
The Election Commission has introduced measures, including AI surveillance and GPS-tracked monitoring at sensitive stations, to ensure fair proceedings come November 11.
