The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav for what it called 'unrealistic' poll promises aimed at misleading the people of Bihar. The BJP urged voters to trust in the 'tried and tested' leadership of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rather than be swayed by the Mahagathbandhan or new political experiments such as Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party.

BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi described Yadav's promises as a 'cruel joke,' questioning the feasibility of providing government jobs to one member of every family in Bihar given the state's current budgetary constraints. He pointed out that fulfilling such promises would require funds far exceeding Bihar's budget.

Trivedi also criticized the Jan Suraaj Party, accusing it of promoting unsubstantiated claims and reminding voters of past governance failures under similar experimental politics. Highlighting NDA's welfare measures, Trivedi reiterated the BJP's confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ahead of the upcoming polls.
