Vijay Kumar Sinha, Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister and BJP hopeful from Lakhisarai, announced on Friday that the era of forced migration from Bihar is nearing an end. He emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to advancing Bihar's governance and prosperity, citing the enthusiastic public gatherings as evidence of the state's burgeoning pride and honor.
The remarks came shortly after PM Modi initiated his campaign trail in Samastipur, marking the start of the Bihar poll campaign. Modi also took the opportunity to commemorate former Congress President Sitaram Kesri on his death anniversary, accusing Congress leadership of dishonoring him. Modi asserted that Kesri, a prominent leader from Bihar, was allegedly marginalized by being locked in a bathroom and ousted from his position, showcasing Congress's neglect of Dalit and backward class leaders.
Addressing a rally in Begusarai, Modi highlighted that Congress prioritizes family interests over Dalit rights, an issue that continues to resonate in Bihar's political discourse. The state is set to witness election action on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
