In a compelling showdown in Bihar's Arrah constituency, CPI(ML) Liberation activist Quyamuddin Ansari stands against the BJP's Amarendra Pratap Singh. Ansari, with declared assets of only Rs 37,000, is battling not just his political opponent, but also the broader influence of 'money power' within the election system.
Hailing from the Pasmanda Muslim community, Ansari has previously lost twice to Singh but remains undeterred. Speaking to PTI, he emphasized how his campaign is buoyed by small donations from supporters, contrasting sharply with the financial demands faced by candidates in other political parties.
Beyond electoral competition, Ansari sheds light on vital community issues, notably criticizing the lack of progress in education and employment under the current government. His campaign highlights the grassroots struggle against established political power, aiming to replace it with genuine public representation.
