In a move to consolidate support against 'anti-national jihadi' elements, the BJP launched its 'Ekta Yatra' rallies across West Bengal, facilitated by senior leaders including state president Samik Bhattacharya. The initiative calls for a unified stand under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Prominent leaders such as Opposition Leader Suvendu Adhikari spearheaded rallies in Birbhum district, while Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar led efforts in Dakshin Dinajpur. These rallies emphasized voting for the BJP to ensure national security and integrity while actively discouraging votes for the ruling TMC in the 2026 assembly elections.
Bhattacharya highlighted the need to keep youth away from radical influences, pointing to recent security incidents in Delhi. The BJP expressed its goal of achieving inclusive growth for all communities in Bengal, contrasting their stance with TMC's purported neglect of socio-economic issues affecting Muslims.
