R Ashoka, Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, announced that the BJP-JD(S) coordination committee has not yet decided on moving a no confidence motion against the Congress government, led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The announcement comes ahead of the winter session starting December 8 in Belagavi.
Ashoka highlighted that key issues such as the problems plaguing north Karnataka would be addressed at the onset of the session. He criticized the government for avoiding early discussions on these matters. He plans to introduce an adjournment motion to ensure these topics are taken seriously and tackled promptly.
The senior BJP leader claimed that the Congress government is in disarray, holding strategic meetings out of fear of opposition moves. He expressed concern over delays in flood relief and other local issues, criticizing the lack of funds and attributing it to administrative mismanagement. The Belagavi session will see comprehensive discussions supported by evidence on these pressing issues.
