In a significant statement on Monday, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul expressed concerns over China's hesitance to approve general export licenses for rare earth minerals, essential for Germany's manufacturing sector.
Speaking to German broadcaster ZDF while in Beijing, Wadephul acknowledged that some progress had been observed but emphasized the substantial work still required to finalize agreements.
