In a significant political shift, former Punjab MP and seasoned leader Jagmeet Singh Brar has transitioned to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The induction was marked by the presence of prominent figures, including Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

Joining Brar were his brother Ripjit Singh Brar, Onkar Singh Sidhu, and Charanjit Singh Brar, all notable political personalities. Jagmeet Brar's political journey is notable for its several shifts; having resigned from Congress in 2015, he formed Lok Hit Abhiyaan the following year before joining the Trinamool Congress in 2016 and subsequently the Shiromani Akali Dal in 2019.

During the event, Nayab Singh Saini voiced criticism against the ruling AAP government, suggesting a prevailing atmosphere of fear. He emphasized that the BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stands ready to propel Punjab toward progress, contrasting it with previous Congress and AAP administrations.
