Leaders Unite: The Formation of Trump's 'Board of Peace'
Kazakh and Uzbek Presidents are set to join the 'Board of Peace,' initiated by Trump to tackle global conflicts, starting with Gaza. This move is part of Trump's strategy to reinforce U.S. relations with Central Asia, traditionally influenced by Russia and China.
In a bid to address global conflicts, former U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed the 'Board of Peace,' a new initiative that has caught the attention of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The presidents are set to join the board, as confirmed by their press secretaries.
Slated to be chaired by Trump for life, the board will initially focus on the Gaza conflict, with potential to extend its remit to other global issues. Both Kazakh and Uzbek leaders, successors to long-standing Soviet-era rulers, have received personal invitations to the G20 summit in Miami this December, as Trump seeks to strengthen ties in Central Asia.
The initiative, which requires a $1 billion contribution for permanent membership, aims to counter the influences of Russia and China in the region. Kazakh and Uzbek commitments reflect a shared interest in fostering peace in the Middle East and enhancing global stability, marking a pivotal step in international diplomacy.
